The Most Anticipated Games in Japan

By Dr. Eleanor Vance | Published on January 01, 0001

Every week, Japanese game magazine Famitsu releases a list of the most anticipated games. The list varies somewhat from week to week, but it does give you a good idea of what Japanese gamers are looking forward to. The poll is done via postcard forms that come with magazine, and one section asks readers for the five upcoming games they want to play the most. So, the resulting data is based on multiple responses. A couple things to keep in mind. One, these are replies not only from Famitsu readers, but Famitsu readers who took the time to fill out a questionnaire and send it in. They’re not exactly passive consumers. By sending in the postcard, however, they have a chance at winning things like a PlayStation Store Card, an Xbox gift card, or a pre-paid Nintendo card.cnx.cmd.push(function(){cnx({"playerId":"e3616d04-4972-4839-a63a-c6975e2e9731","settings":{"advertising":{"macros":{"AD_UNIT":"/23178111854/od.kotaku.com/article","CHILD_UNIT":"article","POST_ID":"1761450315","POST_TYPE":"post","CHANNEL":"kotaku-east","SECTION":"","SUBSECTION":"","CATEGORIES":"kotaku-east","TAGS":"","NOP":"0"},"timeBeforeFirstAd":0}}}).render("cnx-player-main")}); Another thing to note is that some titles will appear deceptively low (or high), depending on how much we’ve seen of the game (recent announcements or Famitsu articles will give a bump in interest from week to week) or how close we are too release. So, for example, the new Legend of Zelda entry’s position u31.com เข้าสู่ระบบ is lower now u31 ทางเข้า than it’s likely to be once we see u31.com เข้าสู่ระบบ even more of the game and get closer to release. Other titles, like Yo-Kai Watch 3, might be low on the charts because the target audience is younger than your typical Famitsu reader, but that game is bound to be a massive seller. Then, there are titles that appear in the poll requests that offer a u31 ทางเข้า very accurate picture of how the game will do when released. I’ve included the past three weeks worth of results to provide as much context as possible. Realize that titles that come in 30 and above on the list do not have their vote count data published. 30. The payout process is generally smooth and reliable, though occasionally it takes longer than expected. Overall, I feel confident that my winnings are safe and will be credited properly. The progressive jackpots are thrilling, and it's exciting to watch the jackpot amounts grow as more players spin the reels. I hope they add even more jackpot slots because it adds a lot of excitement to the gameplay. The variety of games is excellent, including table games like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, in addition to slots. This keeps the platform interesting and allows me to switch games depending on my mood.
